Fresh Perspectives I: Monuments in Sound
Enjoy an evening of expressive chamber music in the grandeur of the Dunlop Pavilion. The concert begins with Camille Saint-Saëns’ shimmering and impressive Fantaisie for Violin and Harp—a repeat performance with Elisabeth Adkins (violin) and Eric Sabatino (harp), presented by popular demand. We continue our multiyear deep dive into the sonatas of Johannes Brahms’ with his first Cello Sonata No. 1, a deeply expressive work of warmth and contrast.
