FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We welcome all students over the age of 18 — there is no age cutoff! If you’re concerned about your age or your position in school/your career, please feel free to email our Education Coordinator, Brenna Wiinanen, (education@wintergreenmusic.org) to see if the program is right for you.

Yes! We are accepting applications from pre-formed string and wind ensembles. However, please keep in mind that our program also includes cross-collaborative chamber music. Therefore, pre-formed groups will also be split into other chamber groups throughout the program. This will include working with students in disciplines such as strings, winds, voice and piano.

We make the final decisions on private lesson instructors, however we will do our best to honor any requests you may have. If you would like to work with a specific instructor, please email our Education Coordinator, Brenna Wiinanen, (education@wintergreenmusic.org) with your request.

Yes! Students are more than welcome to apply for more than one program. However, if accepted to numerous programs, the student would need to choose only one to participate in as our programs each have rigorous schedules that often overlap and conflict with each other.

Yes! Students have to be at least 18 years old to participate in the LEAD Cooperative, but we have had many students across various points in their degree and/or career paths, including those in undergraduate programs, graduate programs, and many who have also been out of school and working for a number of years.
