2023 Sing with Us!

In 2023, singers performed Ola Gjeilo’s stunning Sunrise Mass with the Wintergreen Festival Orchestra to usher in a beautiful day on the mountain!

Save the date for a memorable week of choral singing. Singers from around the country will gather to perform a world premiere version of Alex Berko’s magnificent Sacred Place.

Premiered in 2023 by Conspirare in a version with piano trio accompaniment, Sacred Place is a six-movement work with text by writers such as John Muir, Wendell Berry, William Stafford, and Rabindranath Tagore. It touches on themes of nature and the environment, and is a perfect piece for our performance setting in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Berko will be creating a new version for chorus, full string orchestra, and piano - to premiered by YOU at the 2025 Wintergreen Music Festival.
