About the Music
Written when Mozart was 17 years old, the Missa Brevis is the most substantial of his “short masses.” At 20 minutes, it has drama, joy, clever turns of phrases, calls for peace, and, yes, even a short fugue. It’s pure delight to sing! We’ll pair that with the touching Virginia, The Home of My Heart - Susan Greenbaum’s ode to the Commonwealth. This world premiere will feature chorus, fiddle, and Susan Greenbaum herself!
