This vibrant evening of American music blends sophistication, charm, and playful musical surprises in a warm, welcoming setting. From Paul Wiancko’s reflective American Haiku for viola and cello to Charles Ives’ impressive and enjoyable String Quartet No. 1, subtitled “From the Salvation Army”, and lively American favorites from Irving Berlin, Scott Joplin, Victor Herbert, George Gershwin, and John Philip Sousa, this concert offers a journey through the heart and soul of American music. Space is limited.
